Six book-club members, six Austen books, and six story-lines are interwoven over six months in the busy modern setting of Sacramento, where city and suburban sprawl meet natural beauty. Si Jane Austen se enterase de que unos flipaos postmodernos tomarían sus libros como manuales de autoayuda, posiblemente resucitaría sólo para tragarse su orgullo de dama victoriana y masacrar sin ningún prejuicio a todo el que haya trabajado en esta bazofia.
Película sin sentido y sin sensibilidad.
