En mi opinión esta película tiene un exceso de moralina, con papeles tópicos hasta la médula, con algunas escenas rozando la vergüenza ajena, lo que hace que desde el principio deje de ser una historia creíble. Así como American History X narra una historia similar, lo hace desde un punto de vista más creíble que hace que cuando terminas de verla, te plantees reflexiones, pero Pies de Acero cuando acaba lo único que piensas es "ya... y yo soy cura".
