The film presents a poetic, visually refined "journey through the convolutions of time" as experienced by the protagonist, Joseph (Jan Nowicki). The young Joseph finds himself travelling through a dream-like world, taking a dilapidated train to visit his dying father in a sanatorium. De Max Ernst a Hans Richter, de ahí a Cocteau, Franju o Chris Marker. Anticipa a Zulawski, Sokurov, Tarkovsky o Aleksey German. Un film infinito que demuestra que el cine es el mejor arma para navegar a través del tiempo y que el surrealismo acaso sea la mejor opción para tocar el hueso de la siempre objetiva Historia. Imprescindible.
