It has been three years since the most important Nazi leaders had already been tried. This trial is about four Judges who used their offices to conduct Nazi sterilization and cleansing policies. Retired American Judge, Dan Haywood, has a daunting task ahead of him. The Cold War is heating up and no one wants any more trials as Germany, and allied Governments, want to forget the past. Como todo el cine post-bélico, está lleno de guiños políticos,claro está;del bando ganador, que si se hubieran obviado, hubiesen hecho de este film una obra maestra.
Muy bien Tracy, el único que huye del plañiderismo del resto de sus compañeros de reparto.
Lancaster le saca mucho a partido a un papel,que en otras manos, hubiese pasado desapercibido.
Y para mí; el mejor papel de Clift en toda su carrera.
