Benito Zambrano has adaptated Dulce Chacon’s book of the same name, set in the terrible years immediately following the end of the Spanish civil war. The film focuses on the relationship between two sisters: Hortensia is pregnant and in jail in Madrid; Pepita has come from Cordoba to be with her and look after the child she is going to have. They are both in relationships with guerrillas fighting in the underground in the mountains.

Creo que es una película que todo el mundo debería ver. Los personajes están muy bien logrados, María León está sublime y entre todos consiguen que des del minuto 1 estés completamente dentro de la histora. El mayor valor es que es un hecho histórico y que es un relato de algo que ocurrió no hace mucho...Consigue transmitir todo el dolor y los sentimientos que despertaron los sucesos de la posguerra a través de unas mujeres que lucharon con mucha valentía. 100% recomendable.
