Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. Por fin un excelente musical que se mofa de sí mismo. Es una pena que la gente no se tome en serio este tipo de comedias porque, si no, se harían muchas más.
La escena en que Bill Murray visita al dentista (Steve Martin) es antológica y la planta carnívora extraterrestre tiene muy buenos puntos. Las canciones son muy pegadizas.
