Como practicante del billar, esta película tarde o temprano tenía que caer. No solo por el tema del billar, sino también por su fama.
Lo mejor de esta película son sus cuatro actores principales, destacando un escalón por encima el trabajo de Paul Newman, cuyo papel como jugador auto-destructivo de billar le ayudó a moldear su leyenda. Como digo, los cuatro actores están fabulosos; Piper Laurie, George C.Scott y Jackie Gleason derrochando talento entre los tapetes.
También me ha gustado las interpretaciones que se sacan del mundillo del billar donde solo parece un deporte como otro cualquiera, pero el guion hace que sea algo más con alegrías y tristezas.
