Película larga, difícil, farragosa. No en vano su engranaje es tan complicado como introducir un barco de vela por el cuello de una botella. Su densidad y duración hace que muchos se alejen de ella, pero creo que el tiempo acabará haciéndole justicia. Ahora mismo no se me ocurre ninguna película mejor sobre los entresijos de las cloacas de la Inteligencia de culalquier país. La película es tan compleja como la propia vida, como el funcionamiento de la mente de unos tipos que creen poseer un país y la verdad, de unos tarados masones y machistas cuyo pasatiempo favorito es disfrazarse de mujer, de unos individuos cuya ambición y patético sentido del deber antepone la razón de Estado a la propia familia, al propio individuo. Matt Damon, tan inexpresivo como siempre, pero más creíble que nunca. Hasta Angelina Jolie está convincente. La ambientación es excelente, como el montaje y, sobre todo, el guión.

La metáfora final, de la carta suicida del padre del protagonista, que se consume en segundos ante la mirada del espía, me parece acertadísima síntesis del crítico espíritu de la película.
