In England, Otis Madison learns from the girl that he loves, Isobel Brandon, that the man she loves is his best friend, John Geste, and so there is nothing that Otis can do but stiffen his upper lip and set sail for Morocco and tell John that he is the man that Isobel loves. Beau Geste es uno de los grandes clásicos del cine de aventuras de los años 30. Lo que pocos sabiamos era que existía una saga anterior, iniciada en 1926 y protagonizada por Ronald Colman y William Powell. Beau Ideal es la segunda secuela, ya en los albores del cine sonoro, y es muy, muy flojita, sólo destacable por la aparición de la rutilante Loretta Young. Sólo para amantes de curiosidades.
