Drama. War
The Zookeeper's Wife tells the account of keepers of the Warsaw Zoo, Jan and Antonina Zabinski, who helped save hundreds of people and animals during the Nazi invasion. Based on the unpublished diary of Antonina, it recounts the true story of how she and her husband, Jan, director of the Warsaw Zoo, saved the lives of 300 Jews who had been imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto following the German invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939.

Un matrimonio que regenta el zoológico de Varsovia se ve comprometido a raíz de la invasión nazi y la creación de ghetto judío en la capital polaca. LA CASA DE LA ESPERANZA no resulta novedosa ni presenta una factura notable, pero es muy digna y convincente; Jessica Chastain aparece como una actriz madura, superada la fase de cara/cuerpo bonito que Hollywood siempre exige a las mujeres.
