- Synopsis
- Ubsauteyama is a Japanese Folk tale that ‘allegedly’ was a tradition observed during the early Japanese Feudal Era. It refers to the exile of old women (ubasute) at the top of a mountain (yama) where they are left to die. The story focuses on the importance of the elders in our society and how we can benefit from their wisdom.
