Synopsis: In Pokkén Tournament's story mode, the player arrives in the Ferrum region, where trainers compete using the power of special stones called Synergy Stones, which allow humans to connect with Pokémon for intense battles. The player must climb the league by facing different trainers while discovering a dark threat in the form of Shadow Mewtwo, a Pokémon corrupted by an uncontrolled stone. In 2017, the original Wii U title was re-released on Nintendo Switch under the title "Pokkén Tournament DX."
