Synopsis

Julia returns to Bellevue with her husband to visit her sister, who is nearly blind due to a degenerative disease for which she unsuccessfully attempted surgery. Upon arrival, they discover that she has committed suicide. Julia must not only face the loss of her sister, but also the loss of all hope to stop her impending blindness, for she suffers from the same disease and seems to share her fate.
