- Beginning of the XIX century. The attraction that Simón Bolívar awakens among the population, allows him to gather a great army that defeats the royalist troops and puts an end to the Spanish domination. But then Bolivar has to face the new political class, which opposes his dream of a united Latin America. Although the Congress authorizes him to undertake such an arduous undertaking, he does so in the secret hope that he will fail and that this will affect his popularity. Bolivar advances with his troops towards Peru, where he obtains a new victory. Upon receiving the news, the incredulous congressmen have no choice but to celebrate it with enthusiasm. (FILMAFFINITY)
