Synopsis

L.A. Women's Studies Professor Suzanne Nicholson teaches positive female body image, but goes on a self-esteem shame spiral when she gains weight trying to get pregnant via IVF, and then discovers that her network executive husband has knocked up his younger, thinner co-worker and wants a divorce. With the hilarious support of her best friends, she navigates being both suddenly single and obsessed with weight loss. She has mortifying wardrobe malfunctions while losing her post-marital virginity, but that's only the beginning of her humiliation. When insane nutrition advice-and ill-advised adventures in plastic surgery-actually put her job at risk, Suzanne finally learns that the path to true love means you have to actually love yourself first.
