Synopsis

TV Miniseries. 4 episodes. We can probably all recite the same facts about President James Garfield that we learned in school: He loves lasagna, hates Mondays, and was always arguing with Speaker of the House Nermal. None of those are true, but this is: He was shot by an assassin just four months after taking office, eventually dying from his wounds two months later despite the work of experts across multiple scientific disciplines. Netflix's four-part series details that assassination, with Michael Shannon playing the president and Matthew Macfadyen starring as his killer, Charles Guiteau.
