Synopsis

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers performs in the music video "Into the Great Wide Open" from the album "Into the Great Wide Open" recorded for MCA Records. The video tells the story of a young man from the country who comes to the west coast and eventually becomes a rock star. He alienates the people around him with his boorish behavior. Eventually he is fired and returns to the tattoo parlor that he visited when he first arrives.
