Genial mezcla de drama, cine negro y teatro en esta película que cuenta de manera clara la metamorfosis que sufre un actor al que su personaje le invade en su vida privada. A mi juicio Ronald Colman ganó uno de los premios Oscar mas merecido en la historia del cine. Atención a la breve aparición de la estupenda Betsy Blair.
