Drama
It is the story of a poor family torn apart by lust and greed. Rocco (Alain Delon), a soft-spoken, idealistic young man who must deal with turmoil and competition when he and his three brothers set out to Milan in an attempt to improve their lives. There they find Vincenzo, the eldest brother, who works as a construction worker.

Luchino Visconti es un director al que se ama o se odia. Yo me encuentro entre los primeros.
Me enamoré de su cine viendo "La caída de los Dioses", "El gatopardo", "Muerte en Venecia" o "Ludwig".
Pero existe un Visconti distinto, próximo al neorrealismo, que filmó "La tierra tiembla" o "Bellisima" y que alcanza su culminación con "Rocco y sus hermanos", mezcla perfecta de neorrealismo italiano, cine negro alrededor del boxeo y "el toque Visconti".
Otra obra maestra más de Visconti.
