Los textos de Charles Bukowski son difícilmente llevables al cine, si no casi imposible. Su vida sórdida, desencantada, su humor negro y sucio, casi no puede traspasar las fronteras de la literatura para convertirse en cine... Con todo este film es un digno intento de conseguirlo.
