Ser testigo de las nerviosa y asustadiza timidez del joven Hoffman frente al acoso y derribo de la Sra. Robinson es lo mejor (y más divertido) del film, junto a la gran interpretación de la Bancroft y la encomiable dirección de Nichols, con sus planos imposibles.
Pero a partir de la aparición de Miss Robinson (la hija de la Bancroft) el film decae y se hace aburrido y muy poco creíble (ver spoiler).
