Drama. Thriller

Difícil acercarse a la novela de Saramago y sacar algo decoroso... pues Mirelles no sólo lo logra sino que supera expectativas, al menos las mías. No recuerdo ninguna adaptación de otra novela, que se haya acercado tanto a la emoción que sentí cuando leí el texto original. Este filme me mantuvo en tensión constante y admirada de que no estaba, como de costumbre,encontrando error tras error en la adaptación. Probablemente haya cosas que no coincidan con la novela original, pero pasan desapercibidas gracias al alto nivel de las actuaciones, la fotografía, el manejo de la iluminación, el ritmo, la banda sonora.. en fin, que "Blindness" es en sí misma una gran aportación a la cultura occidental. Por supuesto, la novela no deja de ser maravillosa y altamente recomendable de leer antes de ver la versión cinematográfica. De las actuaciones, definitivamente, Julianne Moore se lleva las palmas.

Las escenas dentro del centro de aislamiento son muy buenas y ni que decir de las de las violaciones... estupenda forma de mostrar el terror, la ceguera, la solidaridad femenina... en la novela es terrible y aqui te lo deja ver sin ser demasiado burdo.
