Igual que los pesaos que critican la telebasura empiezan siempre diciendo “sólo vi un ratito porqué hacía zappin”, yo también voy a justificar antes de nada por qué me puse a ver semejante bodrio:
a) me encantan los monstruitos,
b) tenía curiosidad para ver que harían los aliens tras su llegada a la Tierra,
y c) diga lo que diga la gente sobre las secuelas, a mi tanto la primera como la cuarta entrega de la saga alien me encantan.
Pero, y aunque la segunda y la tercera son una chufa, esta que nos ocupa hoy es la peor de todas... de hecho es quizá la peor película que he visto desde el estreno del Rey León.
Y estoy dispuesto a contárosla para que si alguien tiene curiosidad, se ahorre el trauma que yo pasé en un cine lleno de niños que comían palomitas a quilos.

Para empezar, aunque la peli transcurra en la Tierra, todo ocurre dentro de una pirámide subterránea en el Polo Norte.
Dicha pirámide toma casi tanto protagonismo como los monstruitos, y no es para menos, pues tanto su localización como sus propiedades son de risa.
Para empezar, tiene elementos arquitectónicos mayas, aztecas... y egipcios! Casi nada. Según el arqueólogo guapetón (que se pasa toda la peli con una chapa de pepsicola colgada del cuello a modo de amuleto):
“claro: tiene elementos de todas las civilizaciones porqué fue construida durante la primera civilización!”
Por si esto fuese poco, las paredes se mueven y las habitaciones cambian de sitio. Todo da tal impresión de déjá-vú, que yo creo que la peli se podría titular:
“Alien y Predator, Dos Tontos Muy Tontos
e Indiana Jones
en un Cube en Versión Piramidal”
Pero lo peor es que cualquier cinéfilo sensato simpatizará más con los aliens que con los predators (los primeros son un prodigio de la xenobiología, mientras que los otros son una tonta mezcla de Freddy Kruger, la cucaracha y el Hombre Invisible), pero los guionistas se ponen de parte de los depredadores y, con la ayuda de una repelente alpinista, los papanatas ganan la batalla final, le perdonan la vida a la chica que desde el primer momento se ve que va a ser la única que sobrevive el cotarro, y se largan al espacio.
Y al final, antes del fundido en negro, se asoma el típico alien pequeñito como advirtiendo de que si les sale de los huevos harán “Alien Vs Predator II: Éramos pocos y parió la abuela”.
Ah, por cierto, para justificar tanto monstruito resulta que los predators son unos sádicos hijosdeputa y que eran ellos mismos quién criaban los aliens adrede, sólo por el placer de matarlos luego (y aun así, parece que al final son ellos los que tienen un corazoncito).
Así pues, yo creo que el objetivo de la peli era transmitir un mensaje antitaurino, pero también podría tratarse de lo contrario.
Y me despido con otra cita del arqueólogo de la chapita:
“un momento... tengo una teoría... los mayas usaban un calendario métrico... por lo tanto, las paredes se mueven cada diez minutos!”
Nota: un muy deficiente bajo.
