Buena adaptación de la novela original. Deja recovecos sin explicar y tramas sin atar del todo, pero las explicaciones se guardan para posteriores entregas. Se nota que se trata de un relato viejo, antiguo, tal vez algo caduco. Pero cargado de simbolismo y moralidad.
Es, por supuesto, mucho más infantil que la saga de los anillos. Sin embargo no deja de ser un placer sumergirse en ese mundo fantástico de Narnia donde los árboles tienen vida propia, los animales hablan y el tiempo se frena. Esto, mezclado con la inocencia de los niños que descubren este maravilloso mundo en tiempo de guerra la hacen realmente sentimental.
