García compone un retrato comprensivo del género humano, aunque haciendo especial hincapié en el sexo femenino.
Soberbias interpretaciones de sus protagonistas femeninas: unas magistrales Naomi Watts, Annette Bening y Kerry Washington.
Tiene otro elemento que personalmente me gusta en las historias de cine. Fomenta el dialogo en pandilla después del filme y abre las puertas al debate social en los problemas innovadores sobre la adopción, los amores imposibles y las cadenas de dependencias que tanto perjudica.
