Al estilo del Superagente 86, Austin Powers es parodia del 007 y recurre a un humor extraño, tendiente al absurdo: uno se ríe de la estupidez y se compadece de la ingenuidad de su protagonista. Mike Myers encontró un papel perfecto para su estilo de comedia. Divertida y floja a la vez.
