Nadie podrá poner en duda que Gary Oldman está impresionante como Churchill y que merece el Óscar, pero la película es densa, larga y monotemática (todo el rato se centra en lo mismo). Y, para colmo, haciendo honor a su título, la fotografía es demasiado oscura, lo cual no invita precisamente a evitar el sopor en algunas partes. Si acaso destaco la escena del metro (ver spoiler), así como me parece interesante la música de Dario Marianelli y el ver a Stephen Dillane en un relevante papel que no sea el de Stannis Baratheon en "Juego de Tronos".

Para que luego acusen a Carmena de hacer populismo yendo en transporte público por Madrid. La película muestra muy acertadamente que Churchill hizo lo mismo para acercarse a los ciudadanos británicos de a pie y conocer su postura ante un grave conflicto, alejándose de su cargo político y queriendo hacer "todo por el pueblo, y con el pueblo".
