Han pasado casi veinte años desde que se estrenó la película y se nota que no pasan en balde. Lo que en su momento se podría cafilicar como una obra semiespectacular y con unos efectos brillantes, hoy es una rutinaria cinta de acción que no destaca prácticamente por nada. De hecho, se puede hasta catalogar de risible en múltiples momentos de su visionado.
