True Detective es una serie innovadora. Fuera de lo que acostumbramos a ver en series policíacas.
El argumento, con una gran crudeza, no sólo se centra en el crimen, sino que ahonda en la psicología de unos extravagantes personajes ayudado por un guión muy original.
La narración en forma de "flashbacks" mantiene una máxima intriga a lo largo de los capítulos.
Muy bien resuelta aunque con mi "pero" final.
Recomendada 100%.

Soy muy amante de los finales shakesperianos, y ésta serie se merecía uno. Así que empezaré por el final. (Sobra)
El último capítulo mantiene una tensión máxima hasta “la luz” (la bengala). Ese debió ser el final, la muerte de los detectives resolviendo el último caso de sus vidas, ya que todos los cabos restantes estaban atados. Rust arrastra una existencia miserable desde el principio de la serie, su pulso era resolver este caso. La vida de Martin después de Margaret había quedado vacía. La muerte final de los protagonistas nunca deja buen sabor de boca, pero tampoco deja indiferente. Mi pregunta es… ¿y ahora qué? ¿Qué pasa con sus vidas? Nada. Es un final “cutre” para una serie tremenda. Habría sido monstruoso. No he querido bajar por ello la nota, aunque cojea algún pie más, es fantástica. Aunque mi 10 redondo iría de la mano con ese final.
El otro pie al que me refiero es a McConaughey. Y aquí dudo si es cosa del actor o del guión. Me he resistido a ver la serie hasta ahora porque siempre me había parecido un actor un poco repelente (no malo), al contrario que me ocurre con Woody Harrelson (muy fan). No obstante, al ver el primer capítulo mi visión fue completamente opuesta. Papelón con una interpretación soberbia. Dejé de ver al guaperas de Matthew y vi al demacrado y obscuro detective Rust, al menos hasta los dos últimos capítulos. Al acabar el “remember” empecé a ver de nuevo al actor. Ya me había envuelto en la serie y no fue algo desastroso, pero sí me pareció que el personaje perdía la fuerza del principio, se alejaba del tipo ese que “podía oler la psicoesfera”. Precisamente siendo lo más original y adictivo de la historia, la filosofía de Rust. Recuerdo esa conversación existencialista de los detectives en el coche, que me hizo rememorar (en cierto modo) a mi venerado Fiodor en sus “Memorias del Subsuelo” en la que McConaughey dice: “Creo que la conciencia humana fue un paso falso en la evolución. Nos hemos vuelto demasiado conscientes de nosotros mismos. La naturaleza creó un aspecto de ella separado de ella misma. Somos criaturas que no deberían existir por ley natural (...)." Todo eso se va agotando a lo largo de los capítulos centrándose en el tema criminal, que ya nos ha absorbido.
Y después de dar mis puntillas personales sólo cabe añadir que es una producción sobresaliente. Muy bien ejecutada y sin cabos sueltos. Tiene una maravilla de guionistas, con unos diálogos que no tienen desperdicio y un final en su momento justo, sin bucles ni escenas fuera de lugar.
Como dice mi 10 y Mr.Burns… Excelente!
