Impresionante retrato de la grandeza y, a la vez, dureza del desierto, lugar donde nace y muere el héroe (o mejor dicho su alma). Cada plano es un regalo que nos hace David Lean. Hay que tener paciencia con esta película, porque sus casi 4 horas merecen la pena y mucho.
Actuaciones memorables de todo el elenco, sobre todo de Omar Sharif y Anthony Quin, quienes se roban el show durante todo el film.
