Sci-Fi. Adventure
30 years after the defeat of Darth Vader and the Empire, Rey, a scavenger from the planet Jakku, finds a BB-8 droid that knows the whereabouts of the long lost Luke Skywalker. Rey, as well as a rogue stormtrooper and two smugglers, are thrown into the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the daunting legions of the First Order.

Es la cinta mas irrelevante de la saga, prácticamente acaba donde debería empezar. Guión flojo y diálogos vacíos, falta de brillantez y originalidad, personajes nuevos poco carismáticos. El villano no impone en absoluto, en comparación con Darth Maul o Darth Vader. Personajes como Han Solo metidos con calzador y desprestigiando su honor, ya que por ejemplo cuando Jabba le reclama una deuda en el Ep IV, el culpable de no poder saldar la deuda es el imperio, no el. Todo para forzar un desenlace que lleve por otro camino al desdibujado villano.

El personaje mas interesante de inicio Poe Dameron, interpretado por Oscar Isaac desaparece de escena enseguida (dejando el protagonismo a Finn, el nuevo Jar Jar Binks) y no lo volvemos a ver hasta el final, que es donde la película repunta, ofreciendo algo de lo que esperábamos: Batallas espaciales y enfrentamientos con la espada láser, pero sin dar respuesta a lo que nos promete el trailer: La fuerza es muy intensa en mi familia. Mi padre la tiene. Yo la tengo. Mi hermana la tiene y tu también tienes ese poder.
Al acabar la película, seguimos sin poder ponerle cara al narrador, y seguimos sin saber a quien van dirigidas estas palabras, perturbador, cierto?
¿Que hay sobre los caballeros de Ren que vemos en el trailer? Porque durante la película no recuerdo haberlos visto.
¿Cuales son los planetas que destruye la primera orden? Sin esa y mucha mas información el espectador no empatiza y le importa tres pitos lo que ocurre en pantalla.
También se hecha de menos personajes monos como los Jawas o los Ewok. Aunque a falta de pan, bueno es BB8.
No hay agudas lineas de dialogo que hagan reflexionar el espectador, que aturdido por los efectos especiales, no puede mas que pensar en el montón de preguntas sin respuesta, en un final de cinta que lo deja todo abierto y al espectador lleno de dudas. Por cierto... el último plano es un Michael Bay en toda regla, que nos descoloca todavía mas, justo antes de empezar los créditos.
