- Synopsis
- In a popular cabaret in the old port of Marseille, Topinelli, the owner, and his wife Sarah fill the sailors’ glasses. Among them is Militis, Sarah’s old lover who abandoned her before she married Topinelli. The filles de joie come running, the alcohol continues to flow and the fever rises. The two former lovers “believe they have forgotten each other, reunite, calmly, but the fever of one evening awakens the appetite, the dreams, and the resentment of their partners…” Louis Delluc
