Synopsis: This BBC documentary shows the techniques used to ship perishable products over long distances and the important role that technology plays in the import and export of food. Food distribution is possible thanks to an immense web of highways, sea routes and air corridors, and without this highway, our pantries would be empty. As merchandise approaches its destination, all steps in the food distribution network are perfectly timed.
