Synopsis

This is Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda’s contribution to the fantasy TV series Kaidan Horror Classics. His episode is a poetic reflection on mourning and the absence of loved ones. A child appears to a young couple who have just lost their son at a very early age. Is this a reincarnation of their son or is it a ghost? The couple begin to feel more and more attached to the child, but shortly afterwards he mysteriously disappears.
