- Synopsis
- María Jiménez reviews her life, personal and professional trajectory, reveals some questions about it and allows us to know her day to day life facing lung cancer. María Jiménez has been one of the most popular singers in Spain in the last half century and, at the same time, the protagonist of a tremendous personal story. Multifaceted, rebellious and outspoken, for this documentary the artist is surrounded by her son and her pets at her home in Chiclana de La Frontera, to review her life trajectory. Friends, family and confidants also contribute anecdotes and testimonies about her. María Jiménez sheds light on her biographical milestones, even the most painful ones, such as the loss of her daughter Rocío or the mistreatment by her ex-husband, actor Pepe Sancho. Nor does she omit her lung cancer. María Jiménez: mi mundo es otro' offers a much more powerful vision of the singer than the one we had known in the last decades.
