Synopsis

Lilli is broke. Her friend Toni introduces her into the world of the circus, with which later goes on a trip. During the trip Lilli falls for the daring circus performer (Franz) and marries him. But Toni feels more than friendship for Lilli. Still, he remains being a good counselor for Lilli. Toni, however, wants to be more than Lilli's fatherly friend. His jealousy of Franz eventually lead him to kill his rival. The assassination of Franz destroys his relationship with Lilly.
