- Synopsis
- At a lavish party, Tingting (Julie Yeh Feng) sparks the interest of Charlie, the son of a hugely successful soap manufacturer. Tingting's parents see a great opportunity for their daughter, but Tingting has already given her heart to Xiaojin, a down-to-earth car mechanic who fits awkwardly into the smart social scene. Tingting's mother tries all kinds of schemes to steer her daughter away from the "grease monkey." But true love may win out when mother discovers that the "grease monkey" comes from a very wealthy family. An enduring favorite with Hong Kong audiences, Sister Long Legs is a veritable catalog of Western-inspired fads, from the waltz to hot dogs, then being eagerly embraced by Hong Kong's emerging middle class.
