- Synopsis
- This richly colored picture shows us the Queen of the bees with her suite dancing around the hive. Suddenly a beautiful rose appears on a flower bed and comes to life and wanders away with the bee. The Queen of roses returns to her former state and the bee is grieved at the loss of her companion and breathes the perfume from the beautiful roses and falls asleep in a vine-clad dell. A spider weaves a web over her and makes her his prisoner, but a swarm of bees soon appear on the scene and liberate their Queen. The picture ends with a delightful ballet composed of bees and roses.
