Synopsis: The film tells of the hardships endured by the migrants of the Nahua people from the Huasteca region of Hidalgo who now live in Guadalajara, and the social, cultural and economic repercussions this phenomenon entails in Santa Cruz, their community of origin. A teenager who drops out after finishing junior high school to go work in Guadalajara; an experienced woman migrant who has done well in business and now plans to emigrate to the United States; and a young mother who leaves her children with her mother to go work in the city and is murdered. Are some of the stories that make up this narrative.
