- Synopsis
- The action takes place in the convulsed China of the early 20th century. The magician Zhang Xian returns to Peking; it won’t be long before his great abilities win him the favor of Lei Daniu, the local Lord. But Zhang is actually collaborating with a rebel guerrilla force that hopes to kidnap Lei. In addition, the magician wants to rescue his fiancée, Liu Yin, who is about to become Lei Daniu’s seventh wife. History, humor, romance and, above all, tons of magic is what’s promised in Daai mo seut si, an admirable spectacle that has put Tony Leung and Sean Lau back together on screen.
