- Synopsis
- Director Abel Ferrara (BAD LIEUTENANT) looks at the dark side of the glamorous life in this tale of drink and drugs in the life of Matty (Matthew Modine), a Hollywood actor. When Matty moves to Miami in the hopes of giving up his Hollywood lifestyle and marrying his girlfriend Annie, everything falls apart when she turns him down. He goes on an overnight binge, meets a beautiful waitress also named Annie, and blacks out. Eighteen months later he is living in New York. Although he is also sober and attending AA meetings, his thoughts drift back to Miami and the two Annies of his previous life. When he goes back to Miami, he finds an unexpected surprise waiting for him.
