- Legendre (Raimu) and Martinet (Michel Simon) are former factory colleagues who have become millionaires on the lottery. When their old boss is ruined by Martinet's speculations on the stock market, Legendre bails him out by buying his chateau, where he soon falls prey to an English gold-digging starlet (Betty Stockfeld).
