- Synopsis
- Pokémon Gold and Silver are set in the Johto region, located west of the Kanto region of the previous Red and Blue games, and three years after the conclusion of the previous games. The design of Johto is inspired by the Japanese regions of Kansai and Tōkai, with many of the region's temples and more traditional Japanese aesthetics found in Johto. It had an expanded version titled "Pokémon Crystal" and a remake on Nintendo DS, "Pokémon HeartGold" and "Pokémon SoulSilver".
