Synopsis

Sunrise in Madrid. In the Plaza de la Cibeles begins the daily hustle and bustle. The statue of the goddess, from her fountain in the center of the Plaza, tells the story of a small man, a petty speculator, owner of an old building who is going to ask St. Nicholas for his help to make it sink, and thus be able to erect a modern twelve-story building. But the inhabitants of the building have also implored the Saint not to let this happen. (FILMAFFINITY)
