- Synopsis
- The Feast of the Candelaria Virgin is one of the most popular in Peru, is associated with the cult of the Pachamama, Lake Titicaca, mines and lightning. Its timing is located in the context of the carnivals, rainy season, ritual and crush competition. The celebration has two key moments: the main day which is marked by the presence of indigenous outskirts of the city of Puno and the eighth in the city where characters burst of urban dance that are interpreted by the mestizos of the city.
