- Synopsis
- At the final days of the American Civil War (1861-1865), Inman (Jude Law), a wounded Confederate soldier, begins an odyssey to try to return home to Cold Mountain, North Carolina, and be reunited with his fiancée Ada (Nicole Kidman), who has been waiting for him for years. In his absence, Ada has to face enormous difficulties to survive, but manages to keep her father's farm going with the help of Ruby (Zellwegger), an intrepid and strong-willed young woman.
