Drama Glenn Close plays a brave woman struggling to get on in life in the sexist patriarchal society of Ireland in the 19th century pretending to be a man to get a job at a hotel. The renowned actress has produced the film and written the script together with the novelist John Banville. It is directed by Rodrigo García, who has made films such as "Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her", "Nine Lives" or "Mother and Child."
