ANIMA is a dance animation movie representing a human "life".
Produced whilst at Tokyo University of the Arts, the completion of this short film convinced Hotchi to take up a life career as an artist. Wanting to examine the Human condition through the lens of the body and eager to use the simplest method possible, the film was created from a base of 1500 pencil drawings which later came to life as the finished animation.
