Drama. Romance
Texan rancher Bick Benedict (Rock Hudson) visits a Maryland farm to buy a prize horse. Whilst there he meets and falls in love with the owner's daughter Leslie Benedict (Elizabeth Taylor), they are married immediately and return to his ranch. The story of their family and its rivalry with cowboy and (later oil tycoon) Jett Rink (James Dean) unfolds across two generations.

Un elenco insuperable de actores y una larguísima película para explicar el devenir de una familia de la norteamérica profunda de principios del siglo 20. No hay que perdérsela pero mejor verla una tarde de domingo sin nada mejor que hacer y sin ganas de fijarse mucho en los detalles.
