Empezaré diciendo que es una película difícil de ver. Tienes que amar el cine como arte y no solo como distracción. Si eres de los que necesitas explosiones, muertes violentas o estarte riéndote todo el rato, esta no es tu peli. Ahórrate verla y ponerle un uno. Sin embargo, si eres de los que ves más allá de lo evidente, si sabes disfrutar de una puesta de sol y de las cosas sencillas pero con contenido es difícil que encuentres una película mejor y más minimista donde menos es mas. Después de haber escuchado al director y a Redford tengo clarísimo que han conseguido contar lo que querían. Es una alegoría de la muerte, que está ahí delante de ti, y que en cualquier momento puede llevarsete por delante y ni toda tu inteligencia, ni todos tus estudios, ni todos tus conocimientos técnicos van a ayudarte a escaparte de ella. A partir de aquí todo lo que ves es de una extraordinaria sencillez, podría ser una historia que le ocurriera a cualquiera, a ti y, seguramente como "our man" tu también seguirías adelante.

Hay un simbolismo muy hermoso que lo que te haga naufragar sea un contenedor de zapatillas en medio del mar (donde no te sirven para nada) y que el barco con contenedores sea igual de deshumanizado. La sociedad de consumo se aprovecha de ti y cuando no le sirves te deja tirado.
